On October 7, Phantogram will release their third album, THREE.

The project’s first single, “You Don’t Get Me High Anymore,” has gotten steady burn on the radio, reaching as high as No. 11 on the US Alternative charts. And after giving the single a hellish and energetic visual and release another jam, “Run Run Blood,” the duo follows up with the third song from the project, “Cruel World” (the first song written for the LP).

“It set the tone for the album in a huge way for us,” Sarah Barthel told Complex. “The overall message is about how tragic life can be at times – how the world can bring you down… But you have to try to find the beauty in it sometimes.”

The mild cut starts with looping keys and a light bass hit before Josh Carter’s hip-hop influences explodes though as Barthel sings about the harsh realities of life and relationships.
