There was a bit on controversy this week over whether or not the Diplo-produced version of M.I.A.’s “Bird Song” — originally produced by Blaqstarr — would land on the Brit’s upcoming album, AIM. The rapper said her record label was blocking its release, but it seems that tiff is over as the song landed on YouTube this morning.

The song brings M.I.A. and Diplo back together. M.I.A. helped elevate Diplo up to another level of recognition back in 2007 with “Paper Planes,” then they worked for years together before dating and eventually splitting, which caused them to not work together for a while.

Both versions of the song will appear on AIM, which will land at 17 tracks on September 9. Listen to the Diplo remix below.
