At the beginning of July, NOLA native Pell dropped two singles with “Show Out” and “Basic Beach.” After letting them percolate for just under two months, the songs now have an animated, disco-themed visual to match with them.
After an animated Pell dances on top of vinyl, on their covers and on the dance floor during the “Show Out” portion, he heads to the beach in the second half, where his dick piranha shows itself to the scenery.
The animator of the three-minute visual, Aaron Keuter, said he made the video similar to how he experiences music.
“The vinyl records, the celebration of album art, the discotheques, the mermaids, the bros, the piscine dick analogies, all of it is kind of a tightly controlled extension of how I experience the music,” he told Pigeons & Planes, “balanced delicately with the brand Pell is trying to put out there.”
