If you followed along on Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram yesterday, Chris Brown‘s shit-show-of-a-day got progressively worse as the hours rolled on.

Personally, we here aren’t surprised when Chris Brown gets into trouble — especially when he’s being accused of assault with a deadly weapon against a woman because, as Meka likes to say, “in other news, water is wet” — so we weren’t actively following what was going on. But now that the standoff has come to a close and Brown has been charged, we’ll give you an update.

Yesterday afternoon, the Los Angeles Police Department obtained a warrant to search Chris Brown’s home around 1 p.m. after getting a call less than 12 hours before of a woman who said Brown was threatening her with a gun, according to the LA Times.

The victim said she was looking at jewelry one of his friends was showing off, then Brown started cursing at her and threatening her. “That’s when Chris pulled his gun and told me to ‘Get out,’ he said. ‘I’m sick of you girls, get the … out,'” she said.

But when police arrived with the warrant, Brown decided he wasn’t going to come outside or cooperate.

In a string of now-deleted Instagram videos, he said “I’m innocent, fuck everybody.” He also said, “When you get the warrant or whatever you need to do, you’re going to walk right up in here and you’re going to see nothing, you idiots. I’m tired of dealing with y’all,” according to Noisey‘s report of the incident.

The SWAT team was eventually called out, but Brown later gave himself up.

He was released Wednesday morning on $250,000 bail. His court date is set for September 20.

Dating all the way back to his abuse charges against Rihanna in 2009, Brown has often made headlines for legal issues, including other assault charges.

His lawyer said, “The allegations against him are demonstrably false.”

All the videos of him saying he’s innocent on social media are now deleted. He did have a video of Ray J on his Instagram saying how he’s “disappointed” people spread “false stories” bout other people with the caption “Real friends!!!!! The world will see!!! TRUST ME.”
