JMSN‘s had an alter-ego, Pearl, in the works for a couple years now.

In 2014, he dropped a project called Open via White Room Records — JMSN’s label that seemingly only supports Pearl, based on their SoundCloud. The album featured 10 songs and an open oyster shell on the cover.

Two years later, Pearl is back with Closer, complete with another 10 songs and a closed oyster shell on the cover.

Nearly every song has a feature, and they’re from lesser-known female artists like Sara Z, Devon Baldwin, Alcordo, Alexa Demie and other. JMSN in his usual form has a feature credit on a song, too.
