Last week, Vince Staples debuted his Prima Donna EP on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show. He warned a visual element would come with the project, and one week later, it’s now here.
The short film — named after the project — lasts 10 minutes and follows Staples from a video shoot through a nightmarish taxi ride to a vacation spot, the Prima Donna Hotel. The visual carries some existential qualities as he’s bringing to life themes of surviving in a hellish world of the record industry.
