2016 has been an absolute c*nt, am I right?

Throughout the past nine months, we’ve lost music icons like Prince and David Bowie, rap veterans Phife Dawg and Big Kap and rising star Bankroll Fresh.

Now, Billboard reports that former N.W.A manager Jerry Heller died of a heart attack “at Los Robles Hospital in Thousand Oaks, Calif.”

Apart from assisting world renowned gangster rap supergroup N.W.A into superstardom, Heller was also instrumental in managing Marvin Gaye, Journey, Van Morrison, Black Sabbath and Otis Redding’s respective careers.

Heller, who was portrayed by Paul Giamatti in the 2015 biopic film Straight Outta Compton, was catapulted back into the media spotlight last October when the famed, controversial music manager filed a lawsuit against NBC Universal, Ice Cube and Dr. Dre, with the lawsuit claiming “the film is littered with false statements that harm the reputation of (Heller) and aim to ridicule and lower him in the opinion of the community and to deter third persons from associating or dealing with him.”

Heller was 75 when he passed away.
