On the heels of The Glorious BIG project, Devine Carama is back at the DopeHouse with a new track from his forthcoming Kingtucky album.

“‘Kingtucky’ is a project where I really wanna push the pen,” Carama says. “My last project tried some new things sonically and focused on the music. On the album I really put a focus back on the lyrics.”

For the first release, DC goes bar-for-bar with fellow Lexington lyricist D’Lee over Obvious-production on “God Said I’m The Nicest.”

“‘God Said I’m the Nicest’ was just me and D’Lee in the studio throwing verses back and forth. The beat was really unorthodox so I had trouble crafting a song with a conventional structure so we chose it as the interlude and we just spazzed on. A lot of layers to this jawn lyrically.”

Check it out below and pre-order Kingtucky on Bandcamp before its October 27th release.
