Masta Ace – “Story Of Me” (Video)

blame it on Patrick Glynn September 7, 2016

Masta Ace‘s last couple solo albums dating back to Disposable Arts have documented further and further back in his life, starting with a life in Brooklyn in the early 2000s to his high school days on his most recent effort, The Falling Season.

This year’s release ended with “Story Of Me,” where the Brownsville native reflected on his entire career from figuring out his raps could make him a little money, not signing to a record label, getting diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and his career since then.

The video features Masta Ace exploring the beaches of Brooklyn and the scenery of Brownsville.

“[Director Alex Frantz Ghassan] and his team did a tremendous job showing Brownsville and CI in a way they have never been seen before,” Masta Ace told Okayplayer, who premiered the video. “The beauty of the shots and my spiritual connection to the locations make this arguably the best video I have ever released.”
