For better or worse, D.R.A.M. and Drake have been tied together throughout the Virginian native’s nascent career.

Following his 2015 breakout “Cha Cha,” the OVO frontman would release “Hotline Bling” which borrowed cues from the former, reaching as high as No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. Meanwhile, “Cha Cha” did not chart at all despite its immense popularity.

Well at last D.R.A.M. has been able to one-up Drake. His Platinum-selling single, “BROCCOLI” with Lil Yachty, recently took the top spot on Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs, snatching the crown from Drake and Rihanna’s “Too Good” (from VIEWS) in the process.

BROCCOLI is now the #1 rap song in the country.?

The song is also on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart as well, occupying the No. 14 spot.

Meanwhile, his recent single “Cash Machine” has the potential to make noise in the near future as well.
