Earlier this month, Kanye West and Adidas blessed Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller with a very rare pair of Yeezy football cleats (see Instagram post below), thanking ‘Ye with the caption “Thanks @KanyeWest and @adidasfballus for the cleats!! Can’t wait to test them out tonight!!!”

After the Yeezy 350/750 cleats made their official debut on September 15th, a few NFL players decided to scoop up a pair, including Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who proudly wore the cleats during their team’s opening game.

It seems, however, the wearing of the Yeezy cleats breaks NFL’s uniform policy by “not having a solid base color,” forcing the NFL to ban the wearing of the cleats on field completely. To add insult to injury, Hopkins was fined $6,000 during the Texans’ game against the Bears last Sunday.

Hopkins, who signed a deal with Adidas, agreed to the policy, stating he would no longer wear them during games unless “Kanye wants to pay the fine.”
