College marching bands putting their energetic and horn-blaring spins on popular songs are the real life-blood of college sports. It’s just a bunch of teenagers and young 20-somethings saying “Fuck You” with their instruments.

This past weekend, Florida A&M University added another cover into the national mix of marching band renditions when they performed Kanye West’s “Father Stretch My Hands” during their game against Tuskegee University.

Now Kanye and college have never really mixed, but they did in this setting. Lasting just long enough to fill the standard two-minute timeout, the band shaved off a bit of Kanye’s bleached-asshole-filled verse to make sure they could fit in the full intro and both choruses.

What a wise decision that was.

I can’t tell if it was the cameraman bouncing up and down rocking to the band or not, but it seems the old man on the right at the bottom of the video started bobbing to the cover around 40 second mark, too. Everyone loves college marching band covers.
