After a huge 2015, with Beauty Behind The Madness selling over 2 million copies and winning numerous awards, The Weeknd has remained largely quiet thus far in 2016, save for guest appearances on tracks from Cashmere Cat, Jeremih and Belly. However, after wiping clean his Instagram account, the Canadian singer formally announced that he will drop its follow-up soon.

Titled STARBOY, Abel revealed the Nabil-shot cover for his third album earlier today (September 21st), which appears to show him without his trademark hair:

While there isn’t too many details currently, Abel recently spoke to VMAN and revealed that this project has been inspired by the likes of Prince, DeBarge, The Talking Heads and others.

Nevermind that Nigerian artist Wizkid has gone by the moniker “Starboy” for years now…

UDPATE: And just like that, The Weeknd announces STARBOY‘s release date (November 25, Black Friday) and shares the album’s title-track — featuring Daft Punk!
