Moses Sumney is one of the most talented musicians I’ve discovered this year.

I heard him on the remix of Hundred Waters’ “Show Me Love” alongside Chance the Rapper and Skrillex, and then I found this video.

Three years after this video was recorded, Sumney dropped the studio version of “Everlasting Sigh,” and he captured the beauty and harmonies of the live version — and then some.

He arrives today with his debut project, Lamentations. It’s a five-track EP headlined by its two singles, “Worth It” and “Lonely World,” which dropped this week.

Sumney said on his website a full-length album will come “a couple months” after the EP, so use Lamentations as a way warm yourself up to the singer-songwriter. Three years late to the game is better than not attending the game at all.

Stream the project below via Apple Music, and download Lamentations on iTunes.
