Kanye West was the headliner at the first annual The Meadows festival in New York this weekend.
During a performance of “Heartless” about close to the end of his set, though, Kanye cut the performance short. According to Consequence of Sound, Kanye said “I’m sorry. I have a family emergency. I have to stop the show,” then ran off stage.
Officials confirmed Kanye wouldn’t be returning and that the show was over.
The festival’s official Twitter account confirmed why Kanye left.
Due to an emergency, Kanye West had to end his performance early. Please get home safely.
