In 2015 the Gorillaz announced their fifth album, which comes after their last album The Fall dropped in 2011. However, the project is slated to arrive sometime in 2017, six years after The Fall.
While the project remains under wraps, Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett have revealed new information about it through the Gorillaz’ Instagram page, as a short story called The Book Of Noodle. Accompanied by some artwork by Hewlett, The Book Of Noodle chronicles the events that happened to the eponymous lead guitarist following 2010’s Plastic Beach. The tale is an interesting read that could serve as a precursor to the next Gorillaz album.
