Last year, Rae Sremmurd hosted the first annual Sremmfest in their hometown of Tupelo, Mississippi. It was headlined by the likes of Yo Gotti, DeJ Loaf and Mike WiLL Made It.
Fast forward a year later, Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee have an expanded budget, thanks to SremmLife 2, royalties from Beyoncé’s album, a rigorous festival schedule and other factors, so they’re able to bring in Diplo, Big K.R.I.T., Young Dolph and others for the second annual festival.
It helps when the headlining act — themselves — is one of the more energetic live shows around, especially when they’re in their hometown, and are free to book.
The concert is on December 23 (it’s only one day instead of three this year), and tickets go on sale Tuesday on the festival’s website.
