Piggybacking off the success of “CRZY” and her addition to the Suicide Squad soundtrack — “Gangsta” — Kehlani calls on British emcee Little Simz for “Table.”
The two empower themselves and females around, noting their self-worth and strength easily drown out whatever faults they, as humans, naturally have. Little Simz sums up the song with the closing line of the tune: “I’ll take a seat at the table, ’cause I know what I bring.”
The song, produced by Jahaan Sweet, DJ Dahi and DJ Relly Rell, samples SWV’s 1996 single “Use Your Heart” (a bit of trivia: that song was the very first song produced by The Neptunes), and it’ll presumably land on her upcoming debut album, SSS.
