Over the years, New York emcee SHIRT has blessed listeners with a ton of quality music. Unfortunately, most of it has gotten overlooked for unknown reasons — maybe it’s his rap name, maybe it’s his left field release plans, or maybe today’s generation of fans just can’t appreciate raw lyricism. Whatever the case may be, if you are one of those people catching zZz’s, I suggest you wake the f*ck up!

Last week, SHIRT resurfaced with some rhymes on DJ Rude One’s “1,000 Dutches” and, as expected, it’s dope as hell.

Backed by the Chicago producer’s minimalistic boom bap production, SHIRT slows things down with some concise bars that help offer a glimpse into the NY spitter’s life story.

“After hearing his RAP project and playing several of his records at parties I DJ’d, [SHIRT] immediately came to mind when I made the short list of MCs I wanted to work with on ONEderful,” DJ Rude One told Billboard. “I love ‘1,000 Dutches.’ It’s probably my favorite beat on the album and it was the only one I sent to SHIRT.”

Light up “1,000 Dutches” below and pre-order DJ Rude One’s ONEderful — which also features Conway (“Andre Drummond“), Your Old Droog (“Mr. Goodbar“), Roc Marciano, and more — on iTunes before it’s October 28th release.
