Last time we checked in on Milwaukee native Reggie Bonds, he was tearing up Future and JAY Z’s “I Got The Keys” and prepping the release of his next project with songs like the aggressive and heartbreaking “#PrayForMilwaukee” — a response to the unjust killing of Sylville Smith.

That was two months ago, though, and we haven’t heard a peep from Bonds until today, when he returns with “Stream Of Consciousness Pt. II.”

The song is a vicious reaction to his summer, which was full of losing friends and family to suicide and violence. Kendrick Lamar’s haunting scream featured all across To Pimp A Butterfly is sampled in the Mike Regal production, which Bonds uses less as a canvas to brush his words on and more as the couch to his much-needed therapy session.
