After reaching out for “Championships” last week, Milwaukee rapper Von Alexander returns with a more sedated outlook on the beauty of struggling in life with “Pastells.”
“My devil wearing glass heals, and her eyes resemble the colors of pastels,” Von raps in the first verse, diving deeper into the story of his demons with Kanye West references and an energetic flow in the next verse.
The rolling drums and soul samples are brought forth by Renz Young, whose It Was Nice Knowing You project was premiered by us last week.
