If you came here because of this incredible album cover, wonderful. But now that you’re here, it gets better.
North Carolina rapper Well$ took about a six-month break from music at the end of 2015 into this year, returning with the DopeHouse-premiered remix of his 2014 single, “98 Juvie.” Since, he’s been preparing his new album, The Way I’m Living Makes My Mom Nervous, which delves into exactly what the title says.
Well$ told us in an interview earlier this year, “I’d rather die doing something I love without any security then doing something purely for the security,” which is the dichotomy he faces with his family, who’d prefer he’d escape the streets by becoming a doctor rather than being a rapper.
The album’s 11 songs has features from Sylvan Esso (“Young Man“), J.K. the Reaper, Alec Lomami, Deniro Farrar (“98 Juvie”) and more.
