Of late, Macklemore has shown a more politically charged ans socially conscious side to his music. He joined YG on the remix to his anti-DOnal Trump single “FDT,” teamed with President Obama on a PSA on opioid abuse, and spoken out againt Big Pharmaceutical on “Drug Dealer.”
He has now released a video for the latter, which details Mack’s own battles with pills. Chronicling a chilling detox, the Jason Koenig-directed video depicts the rapper going through a rather serious withdrawal, before revealing that he had been in a rehab clinic the entire time.
