Los Angeles-based duo THEY., comprised of singer/rapper Drew and Dante, made some noise as the opening act for Bryson Tiller during his sold-out T R A P S O U L Tour. Since then, the two have been working on their forthcoming release HYENA.
While there is no word on when it will be completed, the group has released a “demo” track of sorts, “Rather Die.” A rock-tinged offering, “Rather Die” samples Nirvana’s 1991 single “Polly” (from the group’s influential second album Nevermind). Whether or not it lands on HYENA remains to be seen, however.
