He may not get that Spider-Man role that his fans campaigned for a few years back (although, he voiced Miles Morales in the animated series Ultimate Spider-Man in 2014), but Donald Glover is now heading to a galaxy far, far away.

On October 21st, Lucasfilm announced that Glover will portray a young Lando Calrissian in an upcoming Star Wars spinoff movie focusing on Han Solo’s younger, pre-Luke Skywallker days.

Lando first appeared in Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, portrayed by actor — and the emperor of smooth — Billy Dee Williams.

Donald appeared on Ellen DeGeneres’ eponymous talk show Wednesday (October 26th) to talk about landing the role for the first time since it was announced.

The hits just keep coming for Glover, whose hit show Atlanta was renewed for a second season as well.
