TLC has never been the same since the tragic loss of Lisa “Left Ee” Lopes to a car accident. After releasing their final album as a trio, 3D in 2002, the remaining members — Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas — have pushed on as a duo, although they’ve not released an album since.

However, in 2014 the remaining members launched a Kickstarter campaign — like De La Soul’s and the Anonymous Nobody — to crowd-fund what will be their final album, and after going three times over the intended goal of $150,000 they have announced that the new album is on its way. Even more, they’ve released the first two singles off it, “Joy Ride” and “Haters.”

According to their manager Bill Diggins in a FaceBook post some months back, they have roughly “15 new songs completed.” Hopefully that means that the album is coming sooner than later.
