Talib Kweli is the founder of the independent label, Javotti Media. The label’s releases have largely been additions to Talib’s discography, but projects from Cory Mo, NIKO IS, MK Asante and K’Valentine have appeared on the label, too.
The label has hopped on the new “playlist” fad with Awful People Are Great At Parties, which is really a 12-song compilation featuring the Javotti Media signees and affiliates.
Led by “Every Ghetto Pt. 2” with Aloe Blacc, Problem and Nottz, the project also has features from J Dilla, Big Gipp, Kaytranada, Scotty ATL and plenty more.
