With a new album — Black America Again — coming this week, Common routinely stopped by The Breakfast Club for a socially conscious discussion.

Kicking off the conversation with election talk (Common said something along the lines of Hillary Clinton being the “obvious” choice for president), Com, DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne delved into Common’s 100,000 jobs initiative, meeting the CEO of Starbucks, hanging out at the White House with Barack Obama and Rick Ross, lyrical rappers (Kendrick Lamar, André 3000, Chance the Rapper) influencing him to keep rapping and more.

Watch the conversation below, and pre-order Black America Again on iTunes.
