It’s blasphemy Bruno Mars’ “24K Magic” is not the No 1, the No. 2, the No. 3 and No. 4 song in the country. I understand that’s not possible, but I also never thought it’d be possible to like a Bruno Mars song so much either, so we can figure it out.
Mars new album — named after the lead single — is dropping November 18 (the same day as The Weeknd’s). Following the release of “24K Magic,” he took to SNL and previewed a new song, “Chunky.” It would’ve made sense to release that next, but Mars goes a different route with “Versace On The Floor.”
A slow jam, it’s the antithesis of “24K Magic,” which has aims to get a party started. “Versace On The Floor” tries to get the party wrapped up and push everyone into the bedroom.
