On Sunday evening, the Ahoy Rotterdam in the Netherlands played host to MTV’s annual MTV Europe Music Awards.
While the MTV EMAs focuses more on international acts from across the pond, this year’s show also brought out guest performances from Bruno Mars, who performed “Chunky” after premiering it on SNL, Green Day and The Weeknd, the latter whom was nominated for (and won) “Best Video” for his Daft Punk-featured smash hit “Starboy,” beating out Beyonce (“Formation”), Coldplay (“Up & Up”), Kanye West (“Famous”) and Tame Impala (“The Less I Know the Better”) in the same category.
Later in the evening, Abel took to the stage to perform the aforementioned title track to his new album, “Starboy” — due out on Nov. 25th (you can pre-order the album here).
