Despite the circumstances that led to its release, A Tribe Called Quest continue to make waves and receive good news with their final album.
Following their exciting performance on Saturday Night Live, Hits Daily Double is reporting that We Got It from Here… Thank You 4 Your Service will debut atop the SPS (sales plus streaming) charts this week with an estimated 124,000-129,000 copies moved. If the numbers hold up, it will mark the first time since their 1996 album Beats, Rhymes and Life to land at No. 1.
Tribe will also release the first official video from the album, “We The People…,” in the coming days. Following up the vintage-flavored lyrics video, the group unveiled a brief trailer for the video on their Facebook page, which can be seen below.
