The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar & Maroon 5, Bruno Mars Perform At American Music Awards

The American Music Awards happened last night, and the expected occurred: Drake won a bunch of stuff in the popularity contest. Views won Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop album, “Hotline Bling” won Favorite Song in the same category and Drake won favorite Rap/Hip-Hop artist.

(Chris Brown also won Favorite Soul/R&B Artist, because the world still doesn’t care if you beat a woman to a pulp.)

While a total of zero people care about the awards, there’s still a show, and it can’t all be Drake singing along to Taylor Swift, so more people got on stage and performed.

The Weeknd sang “Starboy” before his album drops this week, Kendrick Lamar joined Maroon 5 for their single “Don’t Wanna Know,” Bruno Mars did “24K Magic,” Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj moved “Side 2 Side” and more.
