Before Chance the Rapper performed multiple shows in England this week, the Chicago wunderkind stopped by BBC Radio 1Xtra to participate in their Live Lounge, where artists perform one of their own songs in addition to a cover of a song of their choosing.

This was Chance’s first time in the Live Lounge, and he performed Coloring Book‘s opening number, “All We Got,” which features Kanye West. In the middle of the song, which somehow sounded like it was filling a concert hall rather than a small radio booth, he offered a prayer to Yeezy, who was hospitalized yesterday for a mental health evaluation.

“I want to extend a very special prayer to my big brother, Kanye West. I know there’s a lot of weird folks out there, but you already know that I’m a hundred grand. I want to just extend this prayer and this love from all the way in Britain. We might come home early to see this man. Happy Thanksgiving.”

After the song, he chose to cover Drake’s “Feel No Ways,” which was on Drizzy’s Views album. I wonder if he’s often covered this song, or if this is another bout of The Social Experiment whipping something up incredible in the matter of hours.

Head to BBC Radio 1’s website to listen to the performances and interviews. They start around the two-hour and 16-minute mark.
