Vince Staples is bringing in the holidays with a new gift for his fans.
While every rapper under the sun will be inundating ears (and, sadly, the DopeHouse’s own times with our respective families. Thanks, rappers!) with music during the extended holiday break, Staples has announced that he has joined Beats 1 Radio’s growing stable of on-air talent, and will debut and host a new show on the station.
While covering for Zane Lowe today (November 23rd), Staples announced his show Section Eight Arthouse Broadcast System (or, S.E.A.B.S.).
Aimed at being a “pirate radio-style broadcast full of music and interviews curated by Vince and designated to illuminate and distract the mind,” the show will premiere Sunday, November 27th at 6pm EST. It will then move to its regular day and time slot, the third Thursday of every month at 6pm EST.
Alongside being one of the smartest voices in rap today, Vince has a deadpan delivery and sarcastic sense of humor. All of this should make for an entertainingly insightful show.
