As it is the holiday season, it’s customary that one must proudly wear a gloriously repugnant knitted sweater to the family get-together. I’ve been to many an ugly sweater-themed event in my life, and last year 2 Chainz took things a step further by introducing the “Dabbin’ Santa” sweater.
The end result was pretty amazing: thousands of sweaters were sold, and all of the proceeds — roughly $2 million — were in turn used in helping veterans, disabled children, families, and countless others through his T.R.U. Foundation.
Young Tauheed will re-up the line for 2016, bringing back the Santa and introducing a fit based the current dance du jour, “Juju On That Beat.”
Again, proceeds will go to his T.R.U. Foundation to help those in need, and sweaters can be purchased online.
However, 2 Chainz isn’t the only one in the ugly sweater spirit either.
Nas has thrown his hat into the ring, introducing the “Kneeling Santa” through his own clothing line HSTRY. Announced via his Instagram page, proceeds from those sales will go to the Center for Court Innovation, a non-profit for criminal justice reform.
