Termanology‘s (first) sit-down with Sway is definitely a must-see for every up-and-coming rapper, as well as those who have already carved out a fairly lucrative career.

Over the course of 30 minutes, Term — who just released his fourth studio album, More Politics — gave some incredibly insightful advice on how to make it in this cut-throat world of Hip-Hop.

With nearly a decade in the game and over thirty releases (which include EPs, LPs and mixtapes), the Boston stalwart certainly knows how to navigate the game, and is living proof that the independent route is the way to go.

Apart from dishing out guidance on how to “package and present” a project, having patience and determination and understanding how to pitch music (note: not on social media), Term details how he got his start in the game, including his history of hustling out demos at the age of 14.

It’s an incredible watch and comes highly recommended (plus, the DopeHouse gets a nice little shout out from Tracy G around the 9:15 mark).

Following the in-depth interview conversation, Term steps up to the plate for a short freestyle session.
