It’s very difficult to get off of Shake’s bad side. Trust me, some of his “best friends” have slighted him in the most minute of ways and have been in his proverbial dog house for years.

There are very few exceptions. Surprisingly, Lil Yachty is one of them.

The Boat incensed some (read: a lot) of the hip hop community with his declaration that The Notorious B.I.G. was overrated… without ever listening to his music. He’s since reneged on his stance, eventually listening to the late Frank White’s catalog, and sat down with Hot 97/Beats 1’s Ebro (a person he’s gone back and forth with in the past) for a sit-down.

“To this day, I feel like I was wrong for speaking about something like that without taking a second to listen,” Yachty says before apologizing. While he admits that he has not gotten to 2Pac’s (very, very expansive) catalog, he did admit that his song “Changes” stirred some emotions within him.

Yachty and Ebro also attempt to hash out their differences, with Ebro softening his stance on the young musician’s sound and Yachty expressing his desire and plans to promote positivity through his actions and not just his music.

He also freestyled over Craig Mack’s “Flava In Ya Ear” instrumental, leaving some words for Funk Flex and Shia LaBeouf.

The Boat also unveiled a song on Ebro’s show, “Judgement Free,” as well.
