Maybe it’s something in the waters of Canada?

With Drake’s mega-success in streaming, fellow Torontonian The Weeknd is now shattering streaming records of his own.

Within 24 hours of his third studio album, Starboy, releasing, Abel not only shot to the top of the music charts in over 80 countries but he also set the mark for the most streams in that time frame. Both Spotify and The Weeknd’s label, Republic Records, confirmed the accomplishment.

Keep in mind, the previous record holder was yet another Canadian, Justin Bieber, who was streamed 36 million times on November 13th, 2015. Meanwhile, Drake still holds the record for the most streamed song ever with “One Dance.”

With this, combined with the States about to turn into a real-life Hunger Games come January, now’s a good time as ever to move to Canada, no?
