Following his expulsion from South Africa, Yasiin Bey has returned to America and was a noticeable presence throughout Miami’s Art Basel. As he prepares for his final U.S. concerts, the former Mos Def revealed that he would also be releasing his final album December 99th (scheduled for release on December 9th).
That is, it was supposed to be his final album.
While at Art Basel, Bey stopped by WNL Radio and announced two more projects, Negus In Natural Person and As Promised, the latter of which is a collaborative effort with producer Mannie Fresh.

“I will be premiering my new album, Negus In Natural Person, and me and Mannie Fresh’s project, which is called As Promised, at The Apollo on December 21st,” Bey said. Harlem’s The Apollo is where one of his final shows will be held.
