The Roots, Busta Rhymes and Joell Ortiz all appeared on the first song from the recently released Hamilton mixtape.
The song’s called “My Shot,” and they all added verses to the song of the same name on the original recording with a hook that rings, “no, I’m not throwing away my shot.”
Busta, Joell and Black Thought took to The Tonight Show stage — where The Roots reside at 11:35 p.m. at night for an hour every week night — to perform the song to an energetic crowd. Just wait until Busta comes out and you see how awkward these people look moshing around Busta, though.
