PELL has had himself a nice year of touring after capping off 2015 with LIMBO. He also released a duo of singles (“Show Out” & “Basic Beach“) in addition to a song with branDun DeShay (“All In A Day’s Work“) while promoting his album.

He’s now teamed up with Chicago production duo Louis The Child to form Pellican Child. (Yes, pelican with two L’s.) They released their first single, “Turn Me Down,” Wednesday that will apparently land on a six-song EP that they made in two days over the summer, according to Pigeons & Planes.

The song is bright and confident, matching Pell’s ever-positive mood and the time of the year the song was made. He detailed the development of his rap career from using rap as an outlet when white kids made fun of him to developing fame while in college.
