Known as one of the many “unicorn songs” that exist somewhere in the digital world, Madvillain’s circa-2011 song “Avalanche” has had fans of the classic villain with a mask and the Beat Konducta frantically scouring eBay and/or Discogs for any signs of a physical copy.

Premiered in January of 2011 on episode 64 of Stones Throw’s podcast, this rare Madvillain track has only surfaced on Soundcloud and Youtube in low quality form.

Until yesterday.

An exclusive 7″ vinyl copy of the single was released alongside an 8″ tall Madvillain figure (good luck getting one as they sold within a day).

Luckily for us, Rappcats (the company behind the release) has uploaded a CDQ of the single on Youtube and Soundcloud. You can stream both below, and if you’re interested, visit their website. Again, good luck trying to access it, as the site seems to have been down all morning.
