It was expected that J. Cole would easily top the Billboard 200 chart with his fourth studio album 4 Your Eyez Only, following early sales predictions. The real question was how many records would he end up selling.

Those numbers are in, and as it turns out Jermaine has the third-largest debut of 2016. Billboard is reporting that Eyez has moved 511,039 equivalent album units in its first week (with 492,000 coming from traditional sales), trailing only Beyoncé’s Lemonade and Drake’s VIEWS (both albums have since gone platinum or better). Marking his third album to go No. 1, Eyez has also bested Cole’s previous best-seller, 2014 Forest Hills Drive, which sold about 350,000 copies in its first week. And, like Forest Hills Drive, 4 Your Eyez Only is also poised to go platinum with no features.

It’s Cole World, once again.
