Another day, another name change.
DMV-reared rapper Shy Glizzy is now going by a new yet familiar moniker: Jefe. “[I’m] reinventing on a whole higher level” the rapper tells FADER. “I earned the title Jefe. It comes with maturity, more responsibility, and putting more people in the position of being a boss in every aspect. With a name like that, you don’t have a choice.”
To signify the change, Jefe will release an EP, The World Is Yours, on January 6th. The 2015 XXL Freshman has also tamed with producer Zaytoven for its first single, “One,” which can be heard below.
No word on what this means for the Glizzy Gang, however.
