Kaytranada has plenty to celebrate these days. His debut album, 99.9%, was one of the best projects released in 2016, and Kay would cap things off by winning the year’s Polaris Music Prize, the music award annually given to the best full-length Canadian album.
Although he currently travels the globe touring, the Montreal producer still finds time to lend his signature touch to songs of today and the past, many of which ended up on his .001% mix. After dropping his take on Solange’s “Cranes In The Sky” and releasing the extended version of Chance The Rapper’s “All Night,” he now releases two more songs from .001%: his flip of TLC’s CrazySexyCool “Diggin’ On You,” and a reimagining of Latrelle’s Neptunes-produced “House Party” (with a drum break provided by BADBADNOTGOOD). Both can be checked out below.
