A Georgia University Now Offers A Course On OutKast

While it may not have been one of the 17 bold predictions for 2017, a Georgia university is now offering a course on one of the state’s national treasures.

Armstrong State University professor Regina Bradley will teach a course on Andrè 3000 and Big Boi, “OutKast and the Rise of the Hip Hop South.” The class will focus on their impact, how hip hop can be used as a form of political and social expression, their “ideas about the South and southernness” and more.

Students can take the course as an upper-level English class, and is available during the Spring 2017 semester. Imagine if Big Boi or 3 Stacks appeared as a special guest…
