Much of the new soundscape emanating from Northern California in the past few years has been largely shaped (and unbeknownst to most) by production outfit Digitsl Martyrs.
Known for their work with the likes of Bambu, Rocky Rivera, the rest of the Beatrock Music crew and The Seed’s Kahlee, the trio return in 2017 with their 20-track beat tape, titled The MMXVI Beat Tape — split into two sides: A-side which falls more into the “trap” subgenre and the B-side which fit any up-and-coming rapper’s boombap needs.
