Well this is quite the surprise.
This weekend, both DMX and Swizz Beatz hopped on Instagram to basically confirm that Dark Man X will be releasing a new album for the New Year — posting what could possibly be the artwork and the caption: “2017 I hope you’re ready! RR 4 Life.”
Throughout 2016, DMX provided his voice talents for the UFC and released new material, including “Moe Wings,” “Still Scratching” with Styles P, “Blood Red” and the lukewarm “Get It Get It” featuring Snoop Dogg.
X’s forthcoming project will mark his first release in nearly a decade (not counting 2012’s Undisputed mess), and assuming the major players that were initially involved with his earlier work will appear on the new album, we’re very much looking forward to what the Dog has to say.
