J. Cole and Joey Bada$$ both reached a milestone in their careers today (January 12th).

Joey has done many things throughout his nascent career, from dropping critically acclaimed projects (from 1999 to B4.Da.$$) to landing a role on the USA series Mr. Robot. The Pro Era frontman now has another major accomplishment to his credentials: his first Gold plaque, courtesy of “Devastated,” his experimental 2016 single.

J. Cole, meanwhile, is no stranger to album success. On the heels of 2014 Forest Hills Drive going (double) platinum (as well as “Can’t Get Enough” and “Crooked Smile”), his fourth studio album 4 Your Eyez Only has also reached the golden plateau. After taking Billboard’s top spot upon its release, Eyez was certified Gold by the RIAA for shipping over 500,000 physical copies. Take into consideration streaming, and it’s safe to assume that Cole’s album is much more closer to Platinum.

And yes, for those who aren’t tired of the joke: both went Gold without any features.
