Back in October, Mr. Lif and L’Orange teamed up with Adult Swim and Mello Music Group to release The Life & Death of Scenery; a gripping album that takes place in an adjacent future called “last society,” where culture has been obliterated and survival has taken precedence over art.

Now, following their epic video for “Strange Technology” (which we somehow neglected to post, so it’s included below), the duo return with one final visual from the album. And, once again, it’s pretty damn amazing.

Alone in the evening, in public spaces, the mind wanders. Twilight dreams flicker through the mind’s eye and overlap our quotidian commutes.

The final video from the duo’s recent album brings color and lighting choices that call to mind something Gasper Noe might have shot. The otherworldly feel is highlighted by actress Xinyi Zhu who dreams with eyes open while lost somewhere in time wearing a dookie gold chain, thin rimmed full moon spectacles, and high hipped denim shorts. The video is a magical ode to the quiet escapism headphones offer.

Directed by Jon Webb, Mr. Lif and L’Orange’s “The Gentle End” can be seen below.
